November 2012
*Persuasive Writing: To begin writing persuasively, we learned how to effectively argue. We discussed different cases, such as wearing armbands to school and wearing band t-shirts to school. I learned how to use adjectives and my opinion in order to convince somebody about a certain topic. My argument was that Prison Break was the best show ever.
*Blue Ribbon Ceremony: I chose someone that made a positive difference in my life. In preparation for the Blue Ribbon Ceremony, I decorated a blue ribbon, wrote a 6-word memoir about my guest, and constructed a paragraph describing why and how my guest impacted my life in a positive way. I got to present my guest with these artifacts at the Blue Ribbon Ceremony on Friday, November 16, 2012. My favorite part of this activity was seeing everybody's role models and hearing different stories.

Entrepreneurship Group Project
The business I chose for this project is Clear Lake Boats. My group was able to interview Scott Maulsby on December 14th. One of the most interesting things I learned from the interview was that Clear Lake Boats sells about 100 units per year. I am looking forward to finishing this project.
